Harrison Andrew's friend and boarder, Thomas, has gone missing while on a trip down the Oregon Coast to San Diego. When the police won't help, Harrison, an ordinary man, alone and untrained in any self-defense skills or detective skills, driven by friendship, sets out to find the person he genuinely cares about. His search brings him to the small coastal town of Ellensburg, Oregon. There he encounters a backwoods family, a cop who is hiding something, and a couple willing to risk everything to help him.
